So the highest resistance mobs you could break are 117% (115% since blizz rounds). Infinity's conviciton aura gives -85% resistances to monsters, but if it has to break their immunity, then it only works at 1/5th its strength, so it only does -17% resistance. It does work for all, but, there are much less cold and fire immunes that can be broken with infinity. If you run blizz, just hit the known spots blizz is good with, if you want to hit other area's, AND can afford infini, then don't go blizz imo Infinity isn't "much use" on a blizz sorc. Just seen your post after grabbing that picture List of the only monsters able to be broken by infinity In comparison, a Reaper's Toll Merc will help you deal with a much larger variety of immunes as well as just naturally dishing out a lot more damage vs. the occasional breakable Cold Enchanted pack - otherwise your Mastery would already be shredding them down to -100 anyway. None of these monsters are located in relevant MF zones - so your Infinity will only be useful vs. This leaves the following list of monsters which have their cold immunity broken:Ī2: Claw Viper, Salamander, Unraveller, Cave Leaper, Huntress, Infidel, Ghoul Lord Then you want to consider that out of the cold immune monsters in the game, the vast majority of these immunities cannot be broken by Infinity. If you actually want to be efficient, you would naturally choose areas that don't have a high percentage of monsters which are cold immune. I disagree with Infinity on a Blizz Sorc - contextually Blizz sorcs are best at doing very specific farm routes due to the long casting delay on Blizz - so we're talking Hell Andy, Meph, Pindle, Ancient Tunnels and the like.
